Opening of dollarfifty! dollarfifty is an online publication dedicated to just about anything that can and cannot relate to life. Some essays are quite humorous, others are relatively serious, probably more pieces you just won't get. What ties it all together? I honestly have no idea what does. But it doesn't really matter. Does it have to be all tied together, all package-like? I say things are better when they are unique. So how the hell does stuff wind up here? We all know eachother, or at least someone knows someone who knows someone else. Either way it's all good shit, or so I hope. Oh by the way, this page is not intended to be viewed by those under age 18, err, I mean mental age 18.. or something to that effect.
Hey its Spider [8] and heres news with the site: 2 poems by me are up (the one by Figlet is on the way), no articles are up but the page is there, a few quotes also by me are up, no page for music or photos, the forum is working nicely, the about page is there but like empty, the poll is working and is good shit, and theres a counter at the bottom with random phrases. dollarfifty welcomes aboard The Red Avenger. He wrote us a limerick about Vladimir Lenin. There may be more where that came from. But not too many words rhyme with Khrushchev.. Oh well.. I can see that theres like almost 7 poems already, but no article/rant things or artwork either. All I can say is that it will come in time. what was once Articles|Rants is now Articles|Stories, because rants are basically bitchy articles, and Short Stories are more like Articles than poetry, in form anyway. Good evening everyone. It is finally officially summer. Yay. That means something or other, what exactly its correllation to dollarfifty is, I do not know. I hope I spelled correllation right, and also used the word properly. Regardless, some updating has taken place, in the form of a few poems. Tomorrow I shall upload the stories. dollarfifty hitting it big?
A poem by *darK angeL*, entitled "The Only One Left" has made it as a semi-finalist on poetry.com. We congratulate her on her skills. Secondly, dollarfifty is slated to have a small spot in the publication "APA-NYU". I wouldve contributed some stuff, but alas i needed to make muchos copiós to give to them, and i didn't have the time or money so i just made small pages about dollarfifty on it.
Being that this is a non-update related news post, I would like to say in conclusion for everyone to go download some mp3s by DJ Die. It's hot shit. Also buy an album, since the MP3s are hard to find and it is good underground drum & bass music.

Good News: Okay the site is almost done all thats left is the author information, so if you are an author, then write a small piece about you, and if you are not an author but know an author, harass them and tell them to hurry up and submit their info for their profile page. Also good news I DLed a track by Del the Funky Homosapien entitiled "Mistadobalina", the song is incredible and Del has quite a diverse sound.. He's got a new album out entitled "Both Sides of the Brain", you may want to DL a few tracks then if you like it go pick up the album, I haven't heard much off his new album.
Bad News: The page is still not done. Also, there was so much load on the poll that it reset itself. Oh well. I'll make a new poll this week, guaranteed.

Okay. Rather than updating all at once and winding up with carpal tunnel sydrome, I'm gonna update 2 things at a time for a few days. Today the updates come in the form of 2 poems. Featured in none other than the Poetry|Freeform division.
Also, Napster will be taken down from the net by those kind people at the RIAA. What will most likely take its place is the already popular Scour, but Scour is not too keen with some of my underground tunes. We'll see how it blossoms now without Napster. Also a relatively unknown mp3 trading tool is Gnutella, (a play of words on the incredibly yummifood Nutella - click for some site I found with a picture and some Nutella links) which is well, not run by any company, meaning the RIAA will find it pretty difficult to sue nobody. Also MIDI's are rather an ecstasy-like bliss all of their own due to their incredibly lo-fi nature (MusicRobot - a fun MIDI search engine). Well thats about enough typing for me. Peace.

Well I haven't updated in a while, largely due to the fact that I'm damn lazy (which may have to do with the damn hot weather, but I strongly doubt that). Yeah, I had like, stuff to do. Imagine that. Regardless, that good old Grrr-Owl sent me two poems so I put them up. I've got alot of stuff waiting to be put up, at least 4 poems, 2 stories, song lyrics, 2 profiles, a new mod, and a new person that wants to join. Walah. I'll get to that poll sooner or later.

Well heres some more stuff. 2 new stories, one by The Red Avenger and the other by myself, Spider [8]. Add in two new poems by JABOO and a Music|Suggestions section mod review by The Urban Goatherder and you get a damn lot of new stuff.
Walah. Hmm it seems I'm updating on a regular weekly basis, or something to that effect. Well the good news for you dollarfifty fiends is that now that I'm done w/ my summer job, I'll prolly have more time for dollarfifty. The bad news is that I'll spend it doing something outside. Whoa.
One thing I did outside today was go to the village, specifically Virgin Records (14th street location), and Kim's Video. I bought the aforementioned 2 import cds, the first being "Dope on Plastic 7", a compilation album thats well, incredible. The second cd is of the drum and bass genre, and is from Fullcycle's "Through The Eyes" series, this cd being presented by DJ Krust. Some of you may remember me mentioning DJ Die, (you may want to refer to the 07.01.2000 update in the news archive) and yes, he does appear on the DJ Krust album, which is also well, incredible.
Regardless, here come 4 brand new poems. I don't feel like telling you who wrote them. Go see for yourself you lazy fool. Also 1 additional quote, and by the way shhhh theres a brand new ˇEspecial!
Yes for some absurd reason I am going out of my way to update dollarfifty more than one time per week. I put up 2 (two) poems, 1 by Whimsy, & the other by PenName4. Enjoy them, you can find them in the appropriately titled Poetry section. I think that someone didnt realize there was an entire menu at the left hand side and they wanted to know where all the content was. Well if you're in that kind of mindstate, well walah, it's to the left.
well then i've been told that the real word for walah is voila. its french or something. i dont care. walah is more fun by default. ok updates, updates. 3 poems, 1 rap duet, 2 new members (DeathScythe and KnaveDog), 1 updated profile (PenName4), 1 name change (X-Agent [46] is now robster*46 and she has made her profile.

Okay I finally updated. 3 poems, 1 story, 1 profile, 1 new member. Mmmhmmm. School started. It was nice. I printed up little "dollarfifty" stickers for ppl to put on their assorted lockers, books, friends, and genitalia.
